About Florida Technical University
Rated the top private university in Florida by Washington Monthly College Rankings, Florida Tech is currently celebrating 50 years of excellence and offers a large number of undergraduate and graduate programs. The university was originally founded to train professionals working in the space program industry now known as the Kennedy Space Center.
Florida Tech degree programs are varied and have something for everyone. The university offers undergraduate programs in science, engineering, aeronautics, business, humanities, mathematics, psychology, communication and education; master’s programs in science, engineering, aviation, business, psychology, communication, education; and doctoral programs in science, engineering, psychology, and science and mathematics education.
Along with traditional classroom courses, Florida Tech also offers an online program known as Florida Tech online. Florida Tech online offers degree programs that are 100% online and there are usually no mandatory log-in times so students can study and take exams at their own pace and within their own schedule.
This makes it possible for students to obtain their degree without having to sacrifice family and work commitments. Also, students can enroll at Florida Tech online and begin their studies at any one of six convenient times throughout the year.
Florida Tech online assigns students their own program representative who will help them enroll in courses and order books and materials. They also provide interactive tools to help students feel connected such as online chat rooms, streaming video and message boards. Faculty is available for live interaction with students to ensure that each student receives the personal attention he or she deserves.

Florida Technical University Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition is $410 per credit hour and Florida Tech offers many financial aid options such as federal student aid, PLUS loans and Pell Grants. A reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit hour is offered for military service members. In addition, active duty military service members can qualify for a monthly stipend of $1,321 to be used for tuition, books, fees and living expenses.
