RN to BSN Nursing Program:

Kent State University Nursing Program offers an online RN to BSN course to graduates of Associate Degree and Diploma nursing programs to improve their skills with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. All courses are web based and can fit around the typically busy schedules of a registered nurse. Many registered nurses will not see the point of obtaining a Bachelors degree when they are already qualified to practice. However, earning a BSN can still be advantageous to nurses who are already practicing.

Advantages of earning an Online BSN Degree

One advantage of the BSN degree is that it provides an opportunity for specialized career training. A Bachelor’s degree can also prepare you for a career in administration and management. The management jobs tend to pay better than lower ranking positions, which provides another incentive for pursuing a BSN. Aside from this, having an accredited degree would allow a much smoother transition between jobs, especially if that job is in another state, where licensing requirements can differ greatly.
